Students in grades K-5 at Frank T. Wheeler Elementary School celebrated Youth Art Month in March by using a week of art class to collaborate among grade levels to create a mural about cultural awareness. The mural shows children of all races holding hands above the earth with the message of WE ARE ALL WELCOME AT WHEELER written on a banner in the sky. In the clouds, the word “Welcome” is written in the nine languages spoken at Wheeler School; Slovak, French, Portuguese, Polish, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, Lao, and Urdu.
