On March 14, fourth grade students at Frank T. Wheeler Elementary School participated in an Invention Convention. Students were able to explain how their inventions solve a real life problem and the process they went through to build their own invention. Winners of the school level competition at Wheeler include: Liliana Brachle with the Zipper Upper, Piper Krystock with the Dry Guys, Joseph Chase with the Super Tall Shoes and Xavier Colon with the Dog Exerciser. The school winners will advance to the University of Connecticut which will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019.
